Set a date for Skates this Easter

There’s another opportunity for young people in and around Stratford to get their skates on during the Easter Holidays.

Following the success of the free mobile Skate Park during the February half term, another four sessions have been organised by Warwickshire County Council’s ‘Positive about Young People’ scheme and Stratford District Council, with funding from the Big Lottery Fund.

The supervised activity will be held in four areas over the two-week break between 6 April and 17 April, including:

Monday 6 April – Bidford on Avon C of E Primary School, 10am to 1pm
Thursday 9 April – Shipston High School, 10am to 1pm
Tuesday 14 April – Southam College, 10am to 1pm
Friday 17 April – Alcester, The Greig Centre, 10am to 1pm

Participants will be able to bring their own Skateboards, BMX bikes and scooters - although some safety equipment and Skateboards will be provided.

Cllr Izzi Seccombe, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Children, Young People and Families, said: “This project actively encourages young people to keep fit over the school holidays, in an organised environment and am sure it will once again be well-received.“
