A breath of fresh air this Easter at Country Parks
An Easter eggstravaganza is being planned by Warwickshire County Council’s Country Parks team.
A packed programme of events for children during the Easter holidays are taking place at four country parks – Kingsbury Water Park, Ryton Pools Country Park, Pooley Country Park and Hartshill Country Park.
There are Easter trails on at Kingsbury and Ryton with prizes and activities ranging from Den Building to ‘Chicks on Sticks’, or Jelly Fish Windsocks to Kite Making.
These have been organised for various age groups of children, and those planning on coming along are advised to book early to ensure a place by telephoning the relevant park.
A special event is taking place at Hartshill on Wednesday 8th April starting at 11.30am with a big Easter Bunny Eggstravaganza and picnic.
Country Parks Visitor Manager Paula Cheesman said: “Come and join in all the fun with a special Easter trail and art activities. Don’t forget your picnic and maybe your favourite teddy to share it with.”
All children taking part in these activities must be accompanied by a parent or an adult. The cost of all activities is £3 per child.
Meanwhile in the south of the county guided walks have been organised at Burton Dassett Country Park, where a springtime night walk is taking place on 4th April or there’s a five mile walk along the Stratford Greenway to Clifford Chambers on 26th April.
This is just a small sample of the events and activities on offer so for further details of any of the events see http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/parks or check out onsite posters or pick up a free copy of the programme of events in Visitor Centres at Kingsbury, Ryton or Pooley during opening hours.
