Coleshill School to appoint new headteacher
The Coleshill School – a Maths and Computing College is to recruit a new headteacher after its head decided to step down.
Headteacher Catherine Kearney decided to leave the school at the end of spring term to seek a fresh career challenge.
Warwickshire County Council is working with the school governors to make arrangements for interim leadership, with a new appointment scheduled to commence duties from the start of the summer term.
Bob Hooper, Head of Education, Partnerships and School Development at Warwickshire County Council said: "Kate Kearney, Headteacher at The Coleshill School, has decided to leave her post at the end of the spring term 2009. She believes this decision is in the best interests of the school as now is the right time for her to move on to new ventures.
“Kate will move to a post with the authority before deciding on the next steps in her career. We thank Kate for her work at the school over the last twelve years and wish her well in the future."
Chris Bain, Chair of Governors, added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kate on behalf of the Governors for all her hard work and commitment to the school over many years.”
