Call for Warwickshire memories

Do you remember the moon landing in 1969?

Were you in Warwickshire at that time?

Warwickshire County Museum Service is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first man on the moon and will be staging an exhibition looking at all things lunar!

The new and exciting exhibition entitled “Once in a Blue Moon” will run from July to September 2009 at Market Hall Museum, Warwick.

As part of this, the museum wants to find out what the moon landing meant to people in Warwickshire. So if you were in Warwickshire in July 1969 and remember the moon landing, they would love to collect your stories!

If you would like to contribute your own personal memories please visit Warwickshire Museums at Market Hall or St John’s House, Warwick or visit your local library, and fill in one of the forms available.

If you have any moon-related objects that you might be willing to lend for the exhibition, then we would love to hear from you - please contact the museum on 01926 412021 for further details.
