Get closer to nature this summer

If you want to enjoy the big outdoors and learn more about local wildlife then check out the latest edition of Wildlife News published by Warwickshire Museum.

It is a unique directory for finding out what natural history events are taking place in Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull over coming months, as well as providing information about the dozens of local natural history groups you can join.

The May 2009 edition lists hundreds of events planned for forthcoming months and contact details for over 60 local wildlife groups you can join including natural history societies in Coventry, Warwick and Rugby and local branches of national groups such as RSPB and Butterfly Conservation.

There are local groups, nature reserves and country parks serving nearly every patch of the Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull area, and numerous opportunities for attending outdoor and indoor events.

The newsletter is produced three times a year by Warwickshire Museum and can be downloaded from http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/rings.
