‘Funtography’ snap up photo award for second year running
A group of budding photographers, called ‘Funtography’ are celebrating their success after being awarded a First and Second place in this year’s Nuneaton Festival of Arts.
The group are part of Warwickshire County Council’s Community Support Services for adult with learning disabilities, and have scooped awards for the second year running, in the ‘2 Dimensional Photography Work’ category.
Toni Canning who is part of the group said: “We have worked hard and are all very proud to win again”.
Damien Tonks who works with the group said: “It is a fantastic achievement, and gives recognition to how hard people have worked, and how far we have come since starting the group two years ago.”
Darren Woods Powell explained that Funtography will now be busy working on some work commissioned by Warwickshire County Council’s Positive about Young People; and are looking forward to entering the competition again next year!
The group proudly received their award at a recent ceremony held at The Salvation Army.
