Puppet workshops make play time really fun!

Toddlers from Rugby have been getting creative at an exciting puppet workshop run during their stay and play session at Leamington Hastings C of E Infant School.

The children aged between 15 months and 3 years had great fun with their parents and carers cutting, sticking and gluing pieces of material to make their own puppet, which they then used to enjoy a story telling session.

The workshop, which was run by Warwickshire County Council’s Extended Services in partnership with Adult Education, took place on Wednesday 10 June between 1.30 and 2.45pm.

Extended Services Cluster Co-ordinator, Gill Spencer said: “The workshop was a great success and gave parents and carers the opportunity to get creative with their children in a fun and interactive way.

"The children had great fun making their own puppets, which were then used to recite nursery rhymes and stories. I’m not sure who had the most fun though, the children or the parents!”

Further puppet workshops are being run on Wednesday 17 June, 8 July and 15 July. To find out more information or to book your place please contact Leamington Hastings C of E Infant School on 01926 632359.
