Shipston and Stour meeting to look at Older People’s Issues
Residents living in and around Shipston and Stour have the opportunity to discuss key issues for older people next week.
Shipston and Stour Community Forum will offer the chance for people to hear from Jan Roberts, Policy Officer at Stratford-on-Avon District Council focusing on access and travel issues.
The meeting on Thursday 2 July at 7pm at Pillerton Priors Village Hall is an opportunity for people who live in and around Shipston and Stour area to come along and join in the debate.
Community forums are an interactive event enabling residents to learn about issues big and small affecting their area, get answers to questions and influence local decision-making. Anyone with a question about a local issue can go along and put it to officers from a range of organisations.
Cllr Mike Brain, Chair of Shipston and Stour Community Forum, said: "I’d like to persuade as many people as possible to come along, and make the most of this chance to find out what is going on in their neighbourhood. We will also be updating residents on the Bulldog Bash following our last meeting."
During the Safer Neighbourhood Team surgery before the Community Forum meeting at 6pm there will be an information gathering exercise and local Parish Councils are being encouraged to attend and bringing any concerns that their residents may have raised with them.
