Working at the car wash, yeah!
Members of the Warwick branch of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue’s Young Firefighters Association are at Sainsbury’s Warwick on Sunday (July 12) washing cars to raise money for a PGL weekend in September.
Shoppers can get their cars cleaned at the supermarket’s racecourse exit and are asking donations with the young firefighters looking to secure enough funds to pay for an adventure weekend in Weymouth.
Sue Such who runs the Young Firefighters Association at Warwick said: “We hope that the public support the young people. It is beneficial to the community to have young people who are occupying their time in such a proactive and positive manner.
“Where possible, the young people put a lot into the community with some of their young firefighting activities and it would be nice to see local people encourage them. At the very least, they’ll get a shiny, clean car.”
