Let the summer begin!

Children in Nuneaton and Bedworth just won’t have time to be bored this summer with all of the exciting activities on offer!

Throughout July and August, Warwickshire County Council’s Extended Services will be working with a range of local service providers including Nuneaton Town Football Club, Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Coventry City Football Club to ensure that children and young people have the information they need to find activities in their local area.

Activities on offer will include arts, soccer workshops, dance classes, theatre workshops, multi sports, basketball, tennis, gymnastics and much, much more.

Extended Services Cluster Co-ordinator, Julia Everitt said:
“The summer holidays can be a really difficult time for both parents and children, especially when the children have nothing to do. This year extended services co-ordinators in Nuneaton and Bedworth have worked with local service providers to pull together information on a range of activities available to children and young people living in the area.

“We are hoping that parents will find the booklet useful and will be able to use it as a guide to help them to keep their little ones entertained throughout the summer months.”
Booklets for summer activities are being given out with the NB Leisure Trust Shout 2009 Colouring Special to children in Nuneaton and Bedworth through schools. A copy of the booklet can be obtained from Warwickshire County Council’s Family Information Service on 0845 090 8044.
