Snax ‘n’ Sports returns for summer

Multi-sports for girls and boys are on offer across the county this summer, thanks to Warwickshire County Council’s Positive about Young People programme.

Snax ‘N’ Sports is available to 8 to 13-year-olds countywide absolutely free of charge and includes food. A range of other activities is also on offer aside from sport including arts and crafts.

Drop in sessions will run either between 11am and 1pm or from 2pm to 4pm depending on the location. Parents are advised that young people can leave whenever they wish.

Mark Bolton, Operations Development Manager for Positive about Young People, said: “Snax ‘N’ Sports offers a fantastic range of games and activities for young people over the school holidays and is always very popular.

“It is a great way to reduce boredom and more importantly keep young minds active during the summer break.”

Those taking part in the scheme will need parental consent and forms will be available for young people when they participate in their first session.

‘Positive about Young People’ is a partnership between Warwickshire County Council and Warwickshire Police amongst other agencies working with young people. The programme helps young people by giving them something positive to do and to feel part of their communities.
