Join the summer paper trail

Children can learn everything about how to make their own book, from paper making to simple book binding, at a series of workshops held at The Activity Centre, St John’s Museum, Warwick, this summer.

Children can choose from a range of four workshops, learning a range of skills including marbling, calligraphy, paper-making, and block printing.

Rowan Fisher, Learning and Outreach Officer at Warwickshire’s County Record Office, says:  “These activities are based on the traditional techniques that are used everyday at the Record Office in our work conserving original documents, but we hope that they will also help to teach new hobbies to children that they can practice at home”.

The workshops will be held from10.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4pm on Mondays from 3rd –24th August.
