Free cycle training for families
Warwickshire County Council is offering families in Nuneaton a one off free cycle training session tomorrow on Tuesday, 11 August.
The cycle training is aimed at families who want to stay healthy and improve their activity by cycling more often.
The money for the project has come from a one off grant from the Regional Department of Health which means that families do not need to pay. All families need are bikes and to be able to ride them to a basic level.
The family training is from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday, meeting outside the Pingles Leisure Centre, off Avenue Road in Nuneaton. There will be some off-road training and games in the park followed by some training on quieter streets and a cycle ride around the area.
Adult cyclists are also being offered an opportunity to build cycle confidence with basic on road training followed by a bike ride on the same day. The adult sessions will also meet at the Pingles Leisure Centre on the same day but the session is from 6pm until 8pm.
These sessions are free, but booking is essential. To book a place on either of these cycling courses please call 01926 412776.
