Last call for holiday club!
The sun may not be shining, but there is still plenty to do for young people aged 8 – 12 years in Rugby.
This is the last week of activities being run at the holiday club at Lawrence Sheriff School which was established by Warwickshire County Council’s Extended Services in partnership with Maggie Armitage, Director of Community Partnerships at Lawrence Sheriff School.
This week there will be a great range of activities for young people to enjoy including:
Monday: Street Day - featuring aspects of creative arts
Tuesday: Creative Crafts Day - where young people will be able to produce their very own ink blown masterpiece
Alternative Sports: Wednesday – where young people can try their hand at sports such as cricket, table tennis and even samba and break dancing.
Thursday: Healthy Me – with sessions on healthy life styles
Friday: Circus Magic - circus skills workshops with juggling, uni-cycle and tight-rope walking.
Activities run from 9am and 4pm and cost for the day is £12.50 per child.
Extended Services Co-ordinator Claire Naidoo said:
“We are really pleased with the success of the scheme, the children and young people have had great fun exploring solar systems, getting sporty and being creative with the arts and crafts. The club is a great example of the kind of services delivered by extended services in Warwickshire and we are hoping that it has provided families with the affordable childcare they needed.”
