Summer holiday fun at country parks
A packed summer of activities continues in Warwickshire County Council’s Country parks this August to keep young and old alike entertained.
Events and activities are taking place to offer visitors and local people the chance to enjoy a breath of fresh air in the county’s country parks.

August Bank Holiday weekend at Kingsbury
A full steam train service will be operating on Saturday 29, Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August.
Power Boat Club at Kingsbury Water Park
Sat 29th and Sun 30th August
European Junior Championships
Qualifying round OSY Championship
Sat 29 and Sub 30 August
Night Fishing Sessions at Kingsbury Water Park
Time: 6.30am on Saturday through to 7.30pm on Sunday. (booking required)
Sunday 16 August, and every first and third Sunday each month throughout the year
Miners’ Coffee Mornings at Pooley Country Park

Three Villages Evening Walk from Pooley Country Park
A 5-mile circular evening walk taking in the villages of Alvecote, Shuttington and Amington, and the surrounding countryside.
Time: 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Meet: The Visitor Centre.
Cost: Adults £2.00, Concessions £1.00, Family £4.00.

Make your own den using branches and twigs collected from around the park. Bring a picnic lunch to eat in your den afterwards. An ideal family event but not recommended for children under 5yrs. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
