Warwickshire Fire and Rescue putts on a show

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service hosted the 2009 Jubilee Cup, a regional golf competition on Monday 24 August 2009 at Ingom Manor, near Stratford.

The golfing event saw Warwickshire firefighters pitted against colleagues from West Midlands Regional Fire Services.

The event was sponsored by Tempus which is supplying Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service with the new mobile data terminals for its fire appliances.

This on-board technology will have data on hazards and risks of vehicles and buildings, chemical data as well as information on local services.

It will give crews attending incidents additional information about potential hazards they will be facing.

Warwickshire’s Chief Fire Officer Paul Fuller said:  “It was an excellent occasion and an opportunity to cement the bond between the regional fire services.

“We are also grateful to the sponsorship of Tempus and welcome our developing relationship as Warwickshire Fire and Rescue adopts Termus’ on-board technology.  We expect it to have huge benefits for firefighters’ safety and for their ability to quickly plan a course of action in an emergency.”
