Could childminding be a career for you?
Warwickshire County Council’s Early Years Team is offering help to people considering a family friendly career as a childminder.
Childminding is a rewarding career option which offers the chance to help improve outcomes for children through offering childcare and education. The role offers flexibility to childminders who work for themselves in their own home.
Mandy Latham, Childcare Support Officer for Stratford District said: “Childminding is a great option for anyone considering working with children and looking to run their own business.
“The Early Years Team offer lots of support to help people become childminders. We provide help and advice for individuals to complete the registration process and to access training, funding and any further support they may need.
“I would encourage anyone looking for a new challenge to come along to one of our regular briefing sessions to find out more about how they can help shape Warwickshire children’s futures.”
Anyone interested in finding out more about becoming a childminder is invited to attend a briefing session at 7pm on Wednesday 16 September at Stratford High School, Alcester Road, Stratford Upon Avon, CV37 9DH. To book a place at the session or for more information please contact the Stratford Childcare Support Centre on 01926 410410.
