Tell us what you think
Over September and October, Warwickshire County Council’s Library & Information Service is finding out what people think of their libraries.
Public Library User Surveys are to be carried out in all of the County’s 34 libraries and five mobile libraries. It means every adult who visits the library will get a chance to have their say on the stock, staff and services provided in their area.
Warwickshire Library & Information Service is constantly on the move – in more ways than one. The county has five mobiles, in addition to the libraries spread across the five districts. To make sure the service keeps on heading in the right direction, staff need the help of library-users countywide.
“We’ll be asking visitors over 16 years old to complete questionnaires. The information that we gain from these surveys is vitally important to us,” said Ayub Khan, Head of Libraries - Strategy.
“The surveys will help us find out what people who use our libraries really think of what’s on offer and what they’d like to see change. So if you are asked to fill in a questionnaire, please say ‘Yes’.”
A similar survey was last carried out in 2006; over 7,500 responses were received across the County.
The following details the percentage of people who rated aspects of the service as ‘good’ or ‘very good’: 98% Staff Helpfulness, 76% Choice of Books, 80% Computer Facilities, 72% Music CDs, 71% DVDs, 67% Talking Books, 94% Information Service and an overall satisfaction rating of 93% was achieved.
