Auditions for Rugby Youth Dance company
Audition Notice - Thursday 17 September, 6-7.30pm at Avon Valley School
Are you a talented dancer living in the Rugby area? Are you 15 to 19 years old? Do you love to perform? Then come along and audition for Rugby’s newest Youth Dance Company!
Thanks to funding from Warwickshire County Council’s County Arts Service and Rugby Borough Council, Rugby Youth Dance Company is being created by Dancescape for young people to learn and develop their dance skills.
The audition for Rugby Youth Dance Company will take place on Thursday 17 September 2009 between 6 and 7.30pm at Avon Valley School, and is open to dancers aged between 15 and 19. Following this, those selected to join the company will rehearse every Thursday during term time, 6 to 7.30pm, at Avon Valley School.
Rugby Youth Dance will be led by Alexis Haines, an experienced youth dance leader and choreographer. The company will focus on developing dance technique, choreographic and performance skills, and will work towards regular performances at local and regional showcases.
