Warwickshire County Council’s Heritage Education Service has organised a special series of afternoon sessions where you can explore some fascinating examples of Warwickshire Museum’s Costume and Textile collection.
Three individual ‘Highlights from the Costume Collection’ sessions will run on Wednesday 14th, 21st and 28th of October.
These sessions will be a unique opportunity to look in real detail at different pieces of costume and textiles from the collection and will be guided by expert knowledge from Maggie Wood, Keeper of Social History at Warwickshire Museum. Explore in close-up unusual and fragile items that are not often on view.
Each session will look at a different selection of costume and no specialist knowledge will be required!
This session takes place at Montague Road in Warwick and runs from 2 – 4pm. Tickets £5.00 cost each and booking is essential as spaces will be very limited. Please telephone Heritage Education on 01926 412069 to book your place.
The event is part of Heritage Education’s year-round ‘Outlook’ programme of events for adults, which includes a range of friendly and informative talks, walks, workshops that celebrate and share Warwickshire’s rich history.
‘Outlook’ leaflets can be found in all libraries and Tourist Information Centres around the county, or you can join the mailing list by contacting Heritage Education direct on 01926 412069.
