As part of the Fantastic Fun with Words Festival, Warwickshire County Council’s Library Service has arranged for Dave Reeves to act as writer in residence on the mobile library route including New Arley, Corley Moor, Corley, Corley Ash, Fillongley, Astley and Ash Green from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Dave Reeves has been described by The Times as a ‘kind of cultural hired gun around the West Midlands’ and is well known for his lively prose which leaves his audiences entertained, inspired and moved.

Writing in English and Black Country dialect he has performed in venues as diverse as The Other Place theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon; a limestone cavern which can only be reached by narrowboat deep beneath Dudley Castle; as well as alongside theatre companies and rockbands.

Kate Mackie of Warwickshire’s Library and Information Service said: “It’s an amazing coup to have Dave Reeves on board for our Fantastic Fun with Words Festival. The exciting collection of literary treats is aimed at all ages and will see the whole community sharing a love of books.”

Warwickshire County Council’s Library Service has secured a grant from the Arts Council to make the Fantastic Fun with Words reading and writing festival possible, and this year will be even bigger than before spanning 45 events in venues across Nuneaton and Bedworth, Rugby and North Warwickshire.

Family fun with Clive Cole at Coleshill Library Saturday Oct 3rd 10am-noon
