Rugby residents get their say

Feasibility proposals for the Coventry Road/A4071, youth facilities in Rokeby, the Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service consultation and more will be on the agenda at the next meeting of the Rugby Town West Community Forum on Wednesday 23 September.

The forum will be held at the Bilton Evangelical Church, Main Street, Bilton from 6.30pm.

Other items on the agenda at the meeting, which is open to all residents living in New Bilton, Admirals (including Cawston), Bilton, Overslade and Caldecott (including Hillside and Rokeby), include an update from the Rugby Town West Safer Neighbourhoods Team, who will be holding a community drop in from 6.30pm.

Community Forums are a great way for people to find out about big issues affecting the area, get answers to questions and influence local decision-making. Anyone with a question about a local issue can go along and put it to local Councillors and officers from a range of organisations.

For residents who can’t make the meeting on 23 September, alternative methods of feeding into the debate are available, and the next meeting is on 2 December 2009, in the Main Hall of Harris School, Harris Drive, Rugby.

There are a number of ways that people can find out about the issues discussed at the Community Forum and what progress is being made.

Sarah Butter, Area Support Officer in the Rugby Area Partnership Team, is an alternative form of contact with the Forum members, email sarahbutter@warwickshire.gov.uk
