The Castle in Medieval Warwickshire
Those interested in learning about the role of the castle in medieval Warwickshire are invited to a one-day workshop held at Warwickshire County Record Office on Monday 12 October from 10.30 am to 4.15 pm.
Organised in partnership with the County Council’s Adult and Community Learning Service, the workshop offers a rare chance to experience a variety of sessions devoted to Warwickshire’s castles.
The study day will explore, through documents, archaeology, landscapes and the buildings themselves, how our understanding of medieval castles has developed, with particular reference to the castles of Warwickshire, including Kenilworth Castle.
Rowan Fisher from Warwickshire County Record Office, said: “We hope that this one day course will give a unique insight into one of the most familiar of features from the medieval landscape.”
Tickets are £28 for the day. For full course information and to book a place please telephone 01926 738959.
