Eventful week in Warwick and Kenilworth
To celebrate National Customer Service Week this week (5 – 10 October), the Warwickshire Direct One Stop Shops in Warwick and Kenilworth are opening up their doors to a number of organisations.
They will be on hand to give members of the public advice on everything from community safety to children’s services.
At the Warwick One Stop Shop in Shire Hall, on Wednesday (7 October) police officers from the Warwick Safer Neighbourhoods Team will be available during the day to discuss community safety issues with local residents and promote their regular Safer Neighbourhood surgeries.
There will also be a Citizens Advice Bureau surgery during the day on Wednesday, and a display giving information on the sorts of help that the bureau can provide, which will be on show at the One Stop Shop throughout the rest of the week.
On Thursday morning (8 October), Warwickshire County Council’s Community Safety and Domestic Abuse Teams will be joining forces and will be on hand to talk to members of the public.
At Kenilworth One Stop Shop on Tuesday (6 October), a Tenancy Development Officer from Warwick District Council will be available between 10am and 2pm to talk face-to-face with people about any tenancy enquiries or issues they may have.
On Wednesday (7 October), representatives from Age Concern will be at the Kenilworth venue all day offering advice on older people’s issues and carrying out free electric blanket safety testing, now that the weather is getting colder.
On Thursday (8 October), members of the local Alzheimer’s Society will be at the One Stop Shop between 10am and 12 noon to offer advice and support to people with Alzheimer’s, their family and friends.
Staff from the Sort-It Team, Warwick District Council’s waste collection and recycling team, will be available at Kenilworth One Stop Shop during the day on Friday (9 October) to talk about their services.
Finally, on Saturday (10 October), staff from Warwickshire County Council’s Children, Young People and Families directorate will be on hand between 10am and 12 noon to give information on the services they provide.
Warwickshire Direct in Warwick district is a partnership between Warwickshire County Council and Warwick District Council, and provides information and advice on a variety of council and other services.
