Fire Consultation – residents have their say!

Over 200 residents have now had their say on Warwickshire County Council’s Fire and Rescue Services Improvement Plan.

Consultations are continuing to run across the county with the next three being held in Bedworth, Fenny Compton and Brinklow.

Chief Fire Officer, Graeme Smith said:
“I am pleased that so many residents have responded through the consultation process.  I do understand that local communities may be concerned about the proposals and I hope to be able to talk through those concerns at any number of the consultation meetings taking place around the county.

“I would like to assure you that I am in full support of the Improvement Plan, but would like to make it clear that no decisions have been made and nor will they until Warwickshire communities have had the opportunity to have their say.

“All responses to the consultation need to be received before the closing date of 8th December 2009 in order to be considered.”
