We’ve got the X-change Factor!
Customer service staff from Warwickshire Direct, which provides information and advice on a variety of council and other services, will be proving that they’ve got the ‘X-change factor’ when they swap roles this week.
As part of National Customer Service Week, customer service advisers at Warwickshire Direct, a partnership in Warwick district between Warwickshire County Council and Warwick District Council, have agreed to do a job swap and take on the challenge of doing each others jobs for the week.
Staff working in the Customer Service Centre at Warwick’s Shire Hall, who are used to handling a wide range of customer enquiries over the phone, will be changing places with staff who work in the district’s One Stop Shops and usually deal with customers face-to-face.
The idea behind the exchange is to show how closely they are working together to deal with customer enquires and answer their concerns, as well as to highlight the importance of good customer service – whether it’s over the phone or face-to-face.
Councillor Heather Timms, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Customers, Workforce and Governance, said: “I’m really pleased that advisers from the One Stop Shops will be swapping with their colleagues from the Customer Service Centres to see how they deliver services to customers and learn from each other.
“I hope that they will enjoy getting to know a little more about the other’s role and environment.”
