Motorists warned of A444 Griff night closures
Motorists are being warned ahead of night road closures of the A444 to allow for works to continue on the Griff Roundabout Project in Nuneaton.
The night closures will get underway on Monday, October 14, and will continue until December 11.
These closures aim to reduce traffic disruption in the daytime and reduce the construction period of the project. The closures will be at:
A444 Griff Way to Nuneaton;
B4113 Coventry Road (Hill Top);
A444 Bedworth Bypass; and
St Davids Way
Alternative route for the A444 Griff Way, between the Griff Island and George Eliot Hospital Island will be via B4113 Coventry Road, Chilvers Rise and A444 Griff Way and vice versa. The alternative route for the A444 Bedworth Bypass, between Griff Island and the Cinema Island will be via Walsingham Drive, St Davids Way and Bedworth Bypass and vice versa.
Pedestrian access to and from properties and land adjacent to the lengths of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicle access will also be maintained where possible. There will be regular updates on the Warwickshire website on the dates the closures will take place at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/roads
Cllr Alan Cockburn, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for the Environment, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works may cause, we will endeavour to carry out and complete the work as speedily and efficiently as possible.”
