WEMBLEY BOUND!
On Saturday 10 October twenty schools from across the southern area of Warwickshire played each other in the first round of the ESFA Under 11 7-a-side football tournament at the National Farmers Union ground, Tiddington.
The winners were Claverdon Primary School who beat Coughton, Lapworth, Wellesbourne and Shipston primary schools in the league stage before beating Thomas Jolliffe School of Stratford in the semi final and Wilmcote School 3 – 1 in the final.
Claverdon now go on to represent South Warwickshire in the County final to be held after Christmas with the competition concluding next May at the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.
