Are you aged five to eleven? Need something to do during half term? Why not design a Firework Safety Poster and enter a competition with the chance to win a prize?

Organised by Warwickshire County Council’s Trading Standards Service, the ‘Design a Firework Poster’ competition aims to encourage primary school aged children to think about the dangers fireworks and sparklers can pose, and how they can keep themselves and their families safe on Bonfire Night.

All Primary school aged children living in Warwickshire can enter, with the best designs each winning a prize.

Warwickshire County Councillor Richard Hobbs, Portfolio Holder for Community Protection said:

“We are determined to reduce the number of firework related injuries to children and ensure that young people learn about the dangers of fireworks and sparklers. This poster campaign really helps to deliver safety messages in a fun way and I encourage all Warwickshire primary school children to take part in our competition.”
