George Eliot takes on Epic challenge

This week marks the return of National Enterprise Week, and Year 10 students from George Eliot School in Nuneaton have taken place in a one day enterprise challenge.

This was co-ordinated and delivered by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, in collaboration with the Eliot Park Innovation Centre, an award winning business centre in the town.

Enterprise Week is a celebration of enterprise with thousands of events and activities being run by organisations across the UK to encourage people to unlock their enterprising talent.

Warwickshire Education Business Partnership is working with schools and colleges in the area to ensure students have an opportunity to take part in this celebration of talent.

The students took place on a challenge to help EPIC develop their online presence, improve their facilities and develop a marketing campaign to promote the business centre.

Representatives from EPIC along with other business representatives from the local area were at the school to guide the students, but in a facilitation role only as the students had the space and responsibility to develop their own ideas.

The students work from the challenge will be displayed at Eliot Park Innovation Centre and it is hoped that some of their enterprising ideas will be put into action by the centre.
