Youth orchestras unite
Warwickshire County Youth Orchestra is teaming up with WYJO (the County Youth Jazz Orchestra), for a special evening of music which will entertain those with a wide range of musical tastes.
The County Music Service event, taking place at North Leamington School, will feature music by Schubert (Rosamunde Overture) and Mendelssohn (Reformation Symphony), played side by side with jazz favourites of the traditional and funk repertoire.
The programme will also feature film music (Entry of the Gladiators, The Dambusters) and will finish with combined items where both orchestras will create a unique big band in Feeling Good and Something Stupid.
Michael Williamson, County Performance Groups Manager describes the concert as ‘an evening not to be missed’.
Tickets are available at the door priced at £7 adults and £3 for concessions.
