Foster carers given a passport to leisure
Warwickshire County Council’s foster carers are being offered passes for leisure facilities in Rugby.
They will be able to receive the Rugby Borough Council Leisure Pass which gives them concessionary use of public leisure facilities.
The Leisure Pass is accessible to a wide range of people including senior citizens, registered unemployed people, anyone on income support, registered disabled people, and all 16-18 year olds.
The pass, which only costs £1 a year, allows holders to be able to use various facilities at a reduced price including:
Ken Marriott Leisure Centre
SMART Holiday Activity Scheme
Leam Valley Golf Centre
Ansty Golf Centre
Warwick Arts Centre
Rugby Town Junior Football Club
The Big Apple
Rugby Thornfield Indoor Bowling Club
The passes are available for young people aged between 16 and 19 and the over 60s.
To apply for a pass, forms are available from the main reception at the Town Hall or can be ordered online.
Warwickshire County Council believes that every child has the right to family life. Fostering provides a positive alternative for a child until they can return home.
Foster carers in Warwickshire are an essential part of the service we provide to children, young people and their families. The contribution made by all our foster carers is greatly valued and appreciated.
