Funky festivities from youth jazz group
The acclaimed Warwickshire Youth Jazz Orchestra will unleash its own brand of Christmas cheer at a special concert this weekend.
The County Music Service event will take place at the Wheatsheaf Theatre in Coventry on Saturday 12 December and the orchestra will be belting out some big band classics.
The varied programme will include swing and funk music and the band’s very own jazz combo The Clive Darcey Sextet will be joining the group as special guest performers.
Michael Williamson, County Performance Groups Manager said: “Our jazz orchestra Christmas concert is sure to be a big hit. The talented young musicians will be playing a lively repertoire guaranteed to get the audience into the Christmas spirit.”
