Pandemonium at Talisman Square

Warwick Music Centre’s steel pan orchestra are putting on a special performance in Kenilworth Town Centre on Saturday 19 December.

The county council group will be playing at Talisman Square from 11am and 2pm with a set incorporating a range of music styles including jazz, calypso, and reggae. To get into the sprit of Christmas they will be adding Caribbean flavour to some classic carols including Deck the Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Pandemonium’s current members started performing together in September 2008. Pupils, aged 11-14, come from five schools in Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth and get together for practice at the centre’s Coten End base each Thursday.

The group is becoming accustomed to live performance with a number of events under their belt this year.  They’ve played at public events such as Leamington peace Festival and Warwick Cycle Races as well as taking part in the Warwick, Leamington and Kenilworth Christmas lights celebrations.

Pandemonium Director Fareed Siddiqui said: “I’m extremely proud of Pandemonium. The group have gone from strength to strength in recent months and they have really grown together as a strong band.”
