Cubbington C of E Primary School – a good school which cares very well for its pupils

Government inspectors have judged Cubbington C of E Primary School to be “a good school which cares very well for its pupils”.

They commented on pupils’ “excellent attitudes to learning that are reflected in outstanding behaviour”.

A recent visit by Ofsted praised the effective leadership and management of the school at all levels resulting in a school which provides “good value for money” and where pupils make good progress. Inspectors also added that the leadership team has demonstrated the ability to “develop the school further.”

Since the last inspection in 2007, the school Inspectors have noted “the school continues to make sustained progress” and commented on how pupils enjoy their school experience. They quoted one parent who commented “each day my daughter goes to school happy and returns happy. The caring and supportive nature of the school means she feels safe and valued”.

Headteacher Denise Thompson said: “We are very proud of our school and the continued progress of our pupils. The dedication of the staff and support from the Governors, parents and community are what make Cubbington C of E Primary School such a special place in which to learn.”

The school now needs to concentrate on differentiated learning experiences for younger pupils and helping pupils to learn about other cultures in the United Kingdom.
