Festive card competition winners announced

Two children from Southam Primary School have won a competition to design a Christmas card for Warwickshire County Council’s Positive about Young People (PaYP) programme.

Earlier this year, young people attending after school PODs across the county were invited to create a festive front cover and safety message that would form PaYP’s Christmas card for 2009.

From almost 100 entries, two pupils were chosen – Natalie Leggett received a gift voucher for her creative front cover, while Sarah Batstone received a gift voucher for her safety message.

Mark Bolton, Operations Manager for Warwickshire County Council’s Positive about Young People programme, said: “It was really tough deciding on the winners of this year’s competition because we had so many fantastic designs.

“However, the judges had to make a decision and selected the winners for their colourful and creative work. Well done to all who have taken part.”
