Looking for jobs? Help is at hand in Warwickshire!
Warwickshire County Council’s Library & Information Service is teaming up with nextstep (a national agency providing advice on learning and work) to provide job-hunting advice and cheaper internet access in one-off sessions to be held in Warwickshire libraries.
On dates throughout January 2010, Warwickshire libraries will host sessions with nextstep advisers offering advice and support on a wide range of job-related issues.
Job-seekers will be able to learn about completing application forms, cv-writing, interview techniques, finding courses, funding, and more. In addition, participants will be able to use library PCs at the reduced rate of £1 per hour.
David Reed, a library manager said: “We’re delighted to have this opportunity to work in partnership with nextstep to help unemployed people gain the skills they need to find work. Although the Job Club sessions are one-off events, there is every chance of them becoming more frequent - if it looks like our communities would make use of them.”
For further information contact David Reed (01926 476740) or your local library for information about your local session.
