Kingsbury is purrfect
Kingsbury Water Park has a new fan who thinks the North Warwickshire attraction is simply purrfect.
A friendly ginger Tom cat named ‘Ollie’ has made the park his own, despite the best efforts of Warwickshire County Council Rangers to get him home.
Ollie appeared of his own accord a few months ago, and after a few days the park’s staff discovered his owners lived in Kingsbury village and he was taken back home.
However, since then he just keeps coming back. He is now such a regular visitor, the water park has become his second home.
Visitor Manager Paula Cheesman said: “He appears almost every day now, and he likes to sleep on a chair in the office or over in reception. We do feed him, as we are never sure how long he has been away from home.
“His owners know that if he isn’t at home, then this is where he will be. Every time they come and collect him, he just finds his way back again. The staff have taken a real shine to him, and we love having him around. He is very affectionate, obviously quite independent, and just likes being here.
“We suspect that he is also pulling his own weight as a useful pest control ranger!
“So next time you visit the water park, keep an eye out for Ollie, the latest four-legged addition to our Ranger Team.”
