Schools hospice challenge final
Pupils from four local primary schools will come together on Friday at the final of The Unipart Challenge.
The challenge was launched in September last year when Unipart Technology Logistics gave each primary school £50 and challenged them to grow the money in as many enterprising ways as possible, to raise money for the Mary Anne Evans Hospice.
Members of Unipart’s staff visited the schools on a weekly basis to advise and encourage their groups.
This Friday will see the teams come together to give a presentation about the activities they have undertaken and what they have achieved over the period of the challenge, before handing over their fundraising amounts to Liz Hancock, Chief Executive of the Hospice.
Prizes will be awarded to the school which raises the most money and also the school delivering the best presentation.
The event has been organised by Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, which aims to help Warwickshire’s youngsters be better prepared for the world of work.
