Interview time for Rugby pupils
Year 10 students from The Avon Valley School will be put through their interview paces today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday)by ‘real world’ business bosses.
The students have already received a Student Guidance Pack ahead of the ‘Practice Interview’ days at the Rugby school.
This pack explains the purpose of the interview and gives the students tips on preparing for future interviews and completing application forms.
The event has been co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, which organises various initiatives to help prepare young people for the world of work.
Business representatives from: Job Centre Plus, Jaguar Landrover and the Army Careers, to name but a few, will offer the students a realistic experience of undertaking an interview with employers, which most of the students will not have had the opportunity to do as yet.
