An event for everyone in 2010
Warwickshire’s Country Parks have launched into 2010 with the unveiling of a packed events guide.
A new bumper 45-page booklet is packed with things to do at all of Warwickshire County Council’s Country Parks during 2010.
Visitor Manager Paula Cheesman said: “Whether you are interested in volunteering, bat nights, making hedgehog homes or den building you are sure to find something suitable for all the family to enjoy.
“Plus there are some new events this year, and due to the success of the Survival Day at Pooley, there are more of these events planned. I’d recommend to book early to avoid disappointment as numbers are limited on some events.
“Country Parks make for a great value day out, most of the events are only a couple of pounds, and the only other cost is parking.”
The new ‘purple’ booklet is free of charge and is available from all Warwickshire’s Country Parks visitor information centres.
In addition to more than 100 events, walks and activities planned for evenings and weekends, there will also be themed activities taking place at Kingsbury Water Park, Ryton Pools Country Park and Pooley Country Park during the school holidays.
For a free copy of the new booklet, entitled ‘Country Parks Events at a Glance’ ring Ryton Pools Country Park on 024 7630 5592 or email: parks@warwickshire.gov.uk .
The booklet is also available as a download from the Warwickshire County Council website at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/parks. They are available from libraries, Tourist Information Centres, and some local shops, businesses and hotels.
