Deadline looms for community grants

Local groups, organisations and services that would like funding for projects that benefit people living in villages to the east of Warwick need to act quickly to apply for a share of a special fund.

Warwickshire County Council and Warwick District Council have made a pot of money available to the Warwick Rural East Community Forum, which the Forum can award to support both new and ongoing projects.

The Warwick Rural East area includes the villages of Cubbington, Blackdown, Old Milverton, Bubbenhall, Wappenbury, Weston, Eathorpe, Offchurch, Hunningham, Radford Semele and Stoneleigh.

But the deadline is looming - the closing date for the second round of applications for funds is Monday 1st March.

Local groups are invited to apply to the grant fund by completing a brief application form which is available on the Warwickshire County Council website at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/warwickarea or by phoning the Community Partnership Team on 01926 456102.

The next meeting of the Warwick Rural East Community Forum will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 22nd April at Offchurch Village Hall.
