Studley young people to have say about youth activities

Young people and their parents have a chance to have their say about future activities available at Studley Youth and Community Centre.

The opportunity comes as part of an open evening on Tuesday 23 February between 7pm and 9pm, offering current and new members the chance to chat informally with youth workers.

A free disco is also planned for new and current members aged between 12 and 17 on Thursday 25 February from 7pm to 9.30pm.

Regular sessions will begin again next month following a re-decoration of the centre on High Street, starting with a Monday After School Club between 4.30pm and 6.30pm from 1 March, evening activities on Tuesday’s between 7pm and 9pm from 2 March and from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Thursday’s from 4 March.

Robert McCluskey, Locality Co-ordinator for Warwickshire’s Youth and Community Service, said: “We are very excited about the new look centre and to welcoming both current and potential new members on 23 February.

“The open evening provides young people with an opportunity to talk to youth workers about what they would benefit from taking part in when the centre re-opens regular sessions next month, as well as giving parents an insight in to the work we are doing across the Youth Service.”
