Family support is just a click away
Information for parents with tots through to teenagers is now even easier to access following redesign of the new Warwickshire Family Information Service website.
The website at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/fis was designed with customers’ needs in mind and created following consultation with parents and carers who gave the service feedback on what they’d like to see.
The result is an online handbook full of useful information, support and advice on issues affecting family life including sections on health, childcare, education, financial, legal and parenting support.
The information featured is broad but carefully categorised so site visitors can get what they need quickly. For example, the health pages contain information and signposting around issues like mental health, healthy eating, sexual health, substance abuse, domestic violence, counselling and bereavement services as well as general health information such as health services available in their area.
Gavin Tristram from the Family Information Service explained the benefits of the new website format, he said: “The restructuring means that service users will find the website far easier to navigate, allowing them to find and access the information that they require quickly and efficiently.”
