Getting the most from work experience

Pupils about to embark on work experience with local firms are tomorrow being briefed on what to expect and preparations they should make.

The students from Nicholas Chamberlaine School in Bedworth will be taking part in a Work Experience Briefing Session co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership.

The 15 year olds will be preparing for their forthcoming two week work placements by looking at how best to benefit from the experiences and with special emphasis on health and safety.

The session is designed to ensure that students think carefully about planning ahead for their placements in order for them to be a success for both students and employers alike.

The event has been organised by Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, which aims to help better prepare youngsters for the world of work.
