Higham Lane pupils get a pizza the action
Year 10 pupils at Higham Lane School in Nuneaton are next week being challenged to launch their own pizza business.
On Tuesday, 9 March, the students at the Business and Enterprise College will be taking on a Business Challenge co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership.
The students will be participating in a computerised business simulation which will involve them setting up and running a takeaway pizza shop.
The exercise will include tendering for a suitable shop site and making marketing, finance and personnel decisions, with a view to maximizing profit.
The students will be guided by expert advice from local business representatives from companies such as Jaguar, Land Rover, The Army, Warwickshire County Council, and Warwickshire Police.
The event has been organised by Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, which aims to help better prepare youngsters for the world of work.
