Merging the environmental and business worlds
Pupils are being challenge to apply a business case to making their school more environmentally friendly.
On Monday, 8 March, Year 10 students from Henley –In-Arden High School will take part in a Real Context Challenge co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership.
Students will work in teams with local business people to guide them through a challenge which will enhance their enterprise skills and also work on effective communication, teamwork, time management and problem solving.
The challenge of the day will be an Eco challenge, where the students have to research what would be needed to establish an Eco champion in school and also consider both high and low budget options available to make their school more eco friendly.
The students will then deliver a short presentation of their findings and a winning team will be decided.
The event has been organised by Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, which aims to help better prepare youngsters for the world of work.
