New permits make for a great value family day out
New permits are being launched for use in Warwickshire’s country parks, offering families better value than ever before to enjoy a day out.
In a bid to encourage people to discover more than just their local country park, and to make repeat visits, Warwickshire County Council’s Country Parks will now offer a ‘north’ and ‘south’ permit for visitors.
From April, the parks service has added to its range pf permits, which include the ‘all parks’ permit and ‘individual’ permit for the various parks, with the ‘North’ and ‘South’ permits.
The new North parks permit covers Kingsbury, Hartshill Hayes and Pooley Country Park at a great price of £45. Parks in the South are Ryton Pools and Burton Dassett Hills at £30.
A parks permit gives you unlimited access 364 days a year during park opening hours, and the permit is for a car, so a whole family can benefit.
Country Parks Visitor Manager Paula Cheesman said: “We hope people to discover more country parks in their area by offering these great value new permits. So why not give you and your family ‘a breath of fresh air’ and grab yourself a piece of the countryside?”
Permits are valid from April 2010 – March 2011 and can be purchased from Visitor Information Centres at Ryton and Kingsbury or you can buy them on-line at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/parks. Click on ‘apply for a permit’.
