The fun of the fair
The fun of the fair will be accompanied by some serious business knowledge at an event for Year 6 students at Ruckleigh School in Solihull, next week.
The technology event co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership will involve students working in teams to highlight their engineering skills whilst designing and building a K-Nex prototype model of a new fairground ride.
They must plan and sketch out their ideas before embarking on their projects, which will also highlight communication skills, time management and problem solving.
The event has been organised by Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, which aims to help better prepare youngsters for the world of work.
