Snax N Sports returns for Easter
Free multi-sports for young people return to Warwickshire during the Easter holidays thanks to the county council’s Positive about Young People programme.
Snax ‘N’ Sports is available to 8 to 13-year-olds countywide offering a range of sports and other activities such as arts and crafts, as well as complimentary food.
The drop in sessions will run either between 12pm and 2pm or 3pm and 5pm depending on the location. Parents are advised that young people can leave whenever they wish.
Mark Bolton, Operations Development Manager for Positive about Young People, said: “Entertaining children and young people during the Easter holidays can potentially become very expensive for parents, so the Snax N Sports sessions are a great way to keep them occupied for free.
“They also encourage friendships, team work and active lifestyles, and are always very popular.”
Those taking part in the scheme will need parental consent and forms will be available for young people when they participate in their first session.
‘Positive about Young People’ is a partnership between Warwickshire County Council and Warwickshire Police amongst other agencies working with young people. The programme helps young people by giving them something positive to do and to feel part of their communities.
